Ys Book I & II for the TurboGrafx-CD was released in North America in 1990, and was a pack-in title for the TurboDuo in 1992. Ys Book I & II is an action role-playing video game and was a collaborative effort between Nihon Falcom and Hudson Soft in 1989. Ys was one of the first video games to use CD-ROM technology to provide enhanced graphics, animated cut scenes, a CD audio soundtrack, and voice acting. The English language release would also be the first to use voice-over dubbing.
