That looks like a pretty neat game... is it a single screen action/puzzler type game, or side scrolling adventure? Can't wait to get off work and take it for a spin!

It's a very basic single screen game... I think I worked on it for a few hours on about 3 different days, hehe
Actually it's a port of a freeware PC (flash?) game by--hum, I forget who--anyway the link is in the ROM. I quite liked his (hers? their?) concept and artwork, so I decided to port it for a retro coding compo.
Sudden unemployment + job hunting + "homeless" + facing imminent deportation + etc = project needed to be something simple!
The Controls:
UP/DOWN - move your tongue
LEFT/RIGHT - move your character
RUN - pause (duh)
The Goal:
Eat many delicious bugs
Don't get stung by any bees
Get a nice high score!

Played a few minutes of this game last night, pretty decent and fun for what it is! Have any plans to add more levels, or additional control mechanics? I'd love to see this with a jump button and some different backgrounds, perhaps with a point objective to advance to the next round. Just an idea. Keep up the good work!

Bug Hunt! I downloaded last week and play a lot!
I really like homebrew games on the Nec consoles!
Thank you for you effort, cabbage, and keep working!

A simple game but a great effort towards the NEC gaming community! Pretty cool game, I must say
